1 – Touch ID Is Not Working

Some iPhone users are reporting problems with their Touch ID, but this problem is more common with iPhone 6s users. After updating their iOS software to 11.2.1, the Touch ID would stop working. There’s a solution! But before trying any of these solutions below, check to make sure the Touch ID button is dry, and there isn’t anything stuck in or around it.

 Solution 1:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Select “Touch ID & Passcode.”
  • Check to see that your iPhone Unlock and iTunes & App Store are turned on.
  • Check if your fingerprints are registered in the device.
  • If they are, try registering a different finger.

Solution 2:

  • Delete the existing fingerprints on your iPhone and start from the beginning.
  • Go to Settings.
  • Select “Touch ID & Passcode.”
  • Choose an existing fingerprint and hit “Delete Fingerprint.”
  • Keep doing this until all fingerprints are deleted.
  • Hit “Add a Fingerprint” to register a new fingerprint.

2 – iPhone Shuts Down Automatically or Battery Life is Poor

Poor battery life and a phone suddenly shutting down is a problem many iPhone users face. Someone will be texting their friends, watching a video, or browsing the web and then… the iPhone shuts off! Other problems include a poor battery life – especially if it doesn’t last all day. This is a very serious and annoying problem.

If you have an iPhone 6s, you’re in luck. Apple will replace your phone. But if you have an iPhone 6, there is no replacement program at the moment. A potential solution for shutdowns and poor battery life is to change the battery. Apple offers a battery replacement program, but it can come with a waiting time of a few weeks. That can be too long of a wait for some people.

One common problem iPhone users have is that the GPS will not work sometimes, or never at all! It doesn’t matter which map app people use, Apple Maps, Google Maps, etc. It doesn’t make a difference – the GPS will be inaccurate or it won’t update in time. Try these solutions to fix the problem. And if they don’t work, there might be an antenna or hardware problem, which will require you to go to an Apple Store.

 Solution 1:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Go to Privacy.
  • Go to “Location Services.”
  • Make sure Location Services is on.
  • Take off the case from your iPhone and try the GPS again.

 Solution 2:

  • Reset network settings.
  • Go to Settings.
  • Go to General.
  • Select “Reset.”
  • Select “Reset Network Settings.”
  • You will need to set up your network settings all over again after this.

Uh-oh. This is a shocking problem. If your iPhone won’t turn on or wake up, try these solutions. If none of these solutions work, you should go to an Apple Store and get assistance. This may mean you will need to purchase a new phone. If you have a warranty, you may get a replacement phone.

Solution 1:

  • Hold down the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time.
  • Keep holding them down for 30 seconds.
  • The Apple logo should appear.

 Solution 2:

  • Check to see if the battery is charged.
  • Plug in your iPhone to a wall charger and leave it for 30 minutes.
  • Check back and turn on your phone.

Solution 3:

  • Plug in your iPhone to your computer.
  • Wait for iTunes to launch.
  • If this happens, you may need to restore your phone.

5 – iPhone Won’t Charge

iphone is unable to charge

We all need our phones to charge so that we can use them the next day, or the very same day! If they stop charging, that’s an issue that we don’t want. It could mean a simple fix or something broken inside or even a hardware issue. Let’s hope it’s an easy fix – try these solutions below!

Solution 1:

Make sure you are using official Apple charging cables and charger. If not, ensure they are Apple MFi program certified. If the cable and charger are not Apple or MFi certified, that could be your problem. Apple products work best with other Apple products.

Solution 2:

Try something different: use a different cable; try a different charger; plug in the charger to a different wall socket; plug in the cable to a computer and charge the iPhone that way.

Solution 3:

Clean the connector. Blow dry air directly onto the connector to get any dust, lint or anything else out of there!

Solution 4:

Don’t use Lightning cables that are broken, coming apart or look like they are getting rusty. If the connector shows orange or teal/greenish colours – it’s time to use a different cable.
